What should be considered before the design ofchecking fixtures
Before the design of thechecking fixture, the concept of thechecking fixture design shall be clarified, and the following factors shall be fully considered:
1 Fully understand GD&T
GD&T is a descriptive document of automobile product design. Product specifications, product positioning benchmarks, key product characteristics (KPC) and product tolerance characteristics will be reflected on GD&T, so GD&T must be fully understood before the design ofchecking fixtures.
2 Determine product positioning and testing content
On the basis of full understanding of product GD&T, analyze the product positioning datum features, consider the best placement position of product parts, understand the meaning of various tolerances, and determine the inspection content that must be realized on thechecking fixture and the content that does not need to be realized or even cannot be realized.
3 Statistics of process control capability (SPC)
Identify whether the product has KPC requirements, understand the purpose of thechecking fixture, correctly understand the requirements of quantitative measurement and qualitative measurement, and ensure the reliability of SPC data collection.
4 Understanding Requirements and Processes
Fully understand the customer’s requirements for productchecking fixtures, learn from past success or failure cases, fully understand the customerchecking fixture review and approval process, and understand the required documents.
